Collection: DALA HORSES - IN A SHARP WAY

As a native of Kulla, I have always had mixed feelings about Kurbits and Dala horses.
Over the years, I have almost distanced myself from my own creations and felt that I wanted to do everything except that. I have great respect for the old craft and think it is incredibly beautiful, but I have had more difficulty with the newly manufactured.

Then it so happened that I got a bunch of unpainted Dala horses with the words
"Can't you do something fun with these?"
The horses stood for a long time, staring at me encouragingly.
I had no idea what I wanted to do with them. But then I started (it's often the case for me, that you have to wait until the flow comes, and then there's no stopping...).

Suddenly I had a whole flock, and now they are my newest friends!

All are numbered and signed.

They are hand-carved by old men in the villages, primed by my father and decorated by me. It takes many hours of work on each horse.
